- How long will it take for me to play a song?
The most frequently asked question and the hardest to answer… it depends on a lot of different factors, eg. Song selection - as different songs have different levels of difficulties, your learning pace and experience contribute to those factors. On average, a student with no background
will be able to play a pop tune between the first 2 lessons.
- Why Take Guitar Lessons?
Learning through internet video lessons are great but private, especially one to one lessons, are by far the fastest and most effective approach to advance as there is guidance over your progress, corrections to your mistakes, techniques or even precise answers your queries and doubts. If not, bad habits take form and are one of the hardest to get rid of. Having a proper, solid basic or foundation is the best way to embark from.

No, I do not conduct group lessons.
About half of my students started off from complete beginners, whereas the rest make up of music undergrads, to even professional musicians.
- Why do you charge more than other music teachers do?
Lessons are conducted at a proper venue and
are
well equipped for teaching. Duration of each lesson is at least an hour. No gimmick. Competitors conduct lessons at a lower rate but shorter duration as well. You do the math.
- If I cancel or postpone lessons, will the fees be deducted?
No, you get what you pay for. If you are late for lessons, I will duly extend your next lesson.

Preferably not, as the Garage has all the equipments required for my services.
- Should I bring my own guitar?
I encourage my students to use own instrument as it encourages familiarity with their instruments. I also habitually guide them on maintenance. However, should you find inconvenience in bringing your own, I will provide you with one.

It will be provided for. Most of the time, the notes are handwritten myself.
- Can I just have one lesson?
Sure, you can always try for the one time trial lesson at a separate rate.
- What should I expect from my first lesson?
During your first lesson, it is best you bring your own guitar so I can do a setup for you at no cost and explain all its purpose and functions. This will also help you to understand further of what the guitar is all about and ensure a greater ability to learn. A lot of students needlessly suffer with guitars not properly set, in a long run, you will save lots of money than sending it to shops for minor jobs like re-string, intonation, string action, height, etc.
- I have prior experience and background. Can I skip certain components, which I feel that I already know?
Certainly, that is one of my main reasons of individual lessons because everyone is special and has their own specific demands.
